Forest Academy

“Pupils receive a warm welcome every day…. and benefit from staff expertise and impressive leadership,” says Ofsted

We are delighted to share Forest Academy’s latest Ofsted report with our community.

The inspectors visited us on 14 and 15 July 2026 and have delivered a very positive report from their two day inspection.

We received the rating Strong Standard for pupil achievement, attendance and behaviour, curriculum and teaching, early years provision, our work to ensure all pupils are included regardless of any barriers they face, and personal development and wellbeing.

Our Academy’s leadership and its governance was particularly praised and given an Exceptional rating. This is a rating given to very few schools across the country, intended to reward schools and trusts that are performing at the very highest level nationally.

The report says, “The impact of leaders' rigorous tracking of pupils' vulnerabilities is tangible. This means that leaders make decisions with pupils' needs at the heart of everything. Pupils, including the most vulnerable, have access to an excellent education.”

Rupinder Bansil, Headteacher at Forest Academy, said, “We are delighted to have received such a glowing report. Staff, pupils and parents should be incredibly proud of what this report shows we achieve together every school day.”

Other highlights from the report include recognition of the school’s unwavering commitment to inclusion and community engagement, its culture of excellent behaviour and its high aspirations for all pupils.

The report describes early years as being “full of the purposeful buzz of learning” and recognises the extensive opportunities offered through Forest’s global curriculum and personal development provision.
